Mayor Of Venice Says That Anyone Who Shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’ Will Be Shot Dead

Mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro ordered the cops to shoot anyone who shouts ‘’Allahu Akbar’’ in St Mark’s Square.
Post his extreme statement, his stance is under discussion all around the world.

According to Luigi, this will help target the ‘potential terrorists’ before they can commit an act of terrorism.
Speaking at a conference in Rimini, he further said that this is measure is taken to ‘’keep the guards up’’.
He compared Venice to Barcelona, where about 14 people lost their lives as a result of a run down by a van, calling that Venice is safer.

Venice is a tourist attraction where people from all over the world come to enjoy the natural scenic beauty. According to Luigi, the large influx of tourists, particularly during the holiday season, asks for extra security measures. To create an atmosphere of security, it is imperative to take extreme measures before hand.

Luigi’s suggestion was met with huge appreciation and applaud at the conference. He also called himself politically correct, and that to ensure security they also need a naval blockade against people coming from North Africa.

His statements met an overwhelming response on Twitter. Most people are in favor, categorizing his stance as ‘brave’.

Luigi’s approach is being compared to the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who previously called terrorist attacks as ‘part and parcel’ of living in big cities and that the citizens should get used to it.

People mostly are of opinion that this his stance reflects that his priority is safeguarding the citizens and tourists.

The question here remains, will this stance play a role in suppressing terrorism or will it further ignite discrimination and hate crime?
This is one way to deal with it and ensuring the security of citizens, but will it also create an atmosphere of intolerance and insecurity for the innocent Muslims?
You decide!
