UK visas of Malik Riaz and his son revoked The UK Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the Upper Tribunal of the British Home Office to revoke the visas of Pakistan’s leading businessman Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz.

In a ruling issued on Friday, female judge Nicola Davies elaborated the reasons behind the decision. The other two judges on the bench also agreed with the decision. The other two judges include Justice Nugee and Justice Snowden.

The Royal Court of London stated that it was in the interest of the British people for Malik Riaz and his son not to come to Britain. Female Judge Nicola Davis wrote that although Malik Riaz was not convicted, there is a strong possibility that he was involved in financial irregularities.

No Media Coverage: 

The news of Malik Riaz and his son UK visa’s revocation wasn’t covered by top media groups of the country. Only two major Pakistani media outlets – Dawn and Samaa – covered the news. The news was also covered by some online blogs. Reacting to media continuously ignoring such news against the business tycoon, netizens expressed their anger. Furthermore, Dawn News was lauded for covering the news.
