MG Motors To Launch These 3 CKD Models in Pakistan
MG Motors plan to launch three completely knocked down (CKD) models in Pakistan, including the MG-HS, as per their General Manager Syed Asif Ahmed.
In a statement to Business Recorder, Ahmed revealed the company’s five-year plan for the Pakistani market, which consists of introducing three models.
The media outlet also reported, citing a source, that the British automaker plans to introduce the direct competitor of Honda Civic, the MG-GT, in the local market.
The details regarding the third vehicle have been kept under the wraps. Similarly, the company also didn’t give any details about the prices of the cars it is planning to launch in Pakistan.
The MG’s General Manager once again reiterated the company’s commitment towards rolling out locally-assembled MG vehicles in the country. Furthermore, he also vowed to provide the Pakistani customers with the best safety features possible, compared to the locally assembled cars, which he described as “considerably weak.”
“The only sustainable, long-term solution to the recurring crises faced by the auto industry is the export of made-in-Pakistan vehicles,” Syed Asif Ahmed said.
