Minister for Higher Education KP announces 5,500 internships for youth

The Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kamran Khan has announced 5,500 internships for youth.

The Minister said the provincial government of KP will provide 5500 internships in the next three years. The government will spend a total of Rs. 1399.5 million on the program. While talking at an event regarding skill development, he revealed that the government will provide Rs. 2.2 million to youth, aged 18 to 35 years, to help them develop skills and competence to start their own business.

Khan added that the government is working to construct the first-ever women’s university that will be affiliated with Swabi Women University. This would facilitate women to receive higher education in their respective fields.

In 2022, 35 new colleges are set to be opened in the province, including 12 in merged districts. Similarly, 50 new colleges will also be established over the next year and a half, where almost 50,000 women and men will be able to receive an education.
