The Ministry of IT & Telecom has collaborated with Google to launch Pakistan’s first grass-root level Coding Skills Development Program, which is centered on the CS First Program of Google.

The main objective of the program is to improve applied coding skills using gamification techniques for children between 9 and 14 years of age.

The platform, which will be used for this purpose, is “Scratch”, which is a specialized tool developed and examined by MIT. As an official Google partner, Tech Valley Pakistan will assist the MoITT with the execution of the program.

During the first phase of the program, the Telecom Foundation Schools will benefit from this initiative, which will include 13 schools nationwide to be followed by bigger Associates in the phases to come.

The program will be primarily divided into two segments:

  • Train the Trainer
  • Orientation of students on the platform

The program will assist the Telecom Foundations Schools in making a unified curriculum for implementing the course on a regular basis.
