Mohammad Hasnain

Pakistan’s young fast bowling sensation Mohammad Hasnain is likely to return to international cricket following the modification of his bowling action.

His bowling action was reported by the umpires in the Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL). Mohammad Hansain bowling action was found to be illegal during the test conducted at the ICC’s accredited testing centre in Lahore on January 21.

According to his bowling test report, the fast bowler’s elbow extension for his good length delivery, full-length delivery, slow bouncer and bouncer exceeded the 15-degree limits.

Now, the right arm pacer has successfully modified his bowling action under the supervision of Umar Rasheed at the National High Performance Center (NHPC). The latest tests conducted at local laboratory have found no problem with the 22-year-old’s bowling action.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to be completely satisfied with the tests’ results before formally requesting a review from the International Cricket Council (ICC). The cricket’s governing body will then send Mohammad Hasnain to a recognized laboratory for a test. The fast bowler will return to play international cricket if ICC clears his bowling action of any suspicions.
