Mohammad Yousuf picks the Finest Pakistani Batsman Since His Retirement

Talking to a local media outlet, Muhammad Yousaf termed Babar Azam as the finest batsman since his retirement.

Babar Azam continues to impress both national and international cricketers as former Pakistan cricket team captain, Muhammad Yousaf, has heaped a lot of praise on him.

Talking to a local media outlet, Muhammad Yousaf termed Babar Azam as the finest batsman since his retirement.

“Babar is a class apart from the others right now. That is why he is in the ICC’s top five rankings in all three formats. Personally, I have not seen a finer batsman in Pakistan than Babar since I last played for the national team,” Yousuf said.

Babar Azam is currently ranked in the top 5 of the ICC players ranking in all 3 formats. He averages above 50 in both ODIs and T20Is while his test cricket average also stands over 45.

Furthermore, the legendary batsman also slammed Misbah-ul-Haq for picking senior players like Shoaib Malik and Muhammad Hafeez. He also questioned Misbah’s ability to handle things.

“Why recall Hafeez and Malik when their records in places like Australia is clear. It is a step backward for Pakistan Cricket,” he added.

Moreover, Muhammad Yousaf also felt lucky to have played amongst one of the finest cricketers in international cricket such as Salim Malik, Ejaz Ahmed, Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-ul-Haq.

The 45-year-old credited these players for his success and for helping him to turn into a better player. Muhammad Yousaf represented Pakistan in 90 test matches and 287 ODIs, scoring 7,530 and 9,717 runs in both the formats respectively.
