Mother of Pakistani teenage hero Aitzaz Hasan passes away
Aitzaz set an example by confronting a suicide bomber and saving the lives of 2000 students of his school.
The mother of Aitzaz Hasan, the teenage hero who single-handedly saved thousands of lives, passed away. She was laid to rest in her native village Ibrahimzai, Hangu on Thursday.
At the age of only 15 years, Aitzaz set a distinct example of bravery. Hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district, he saved the lives of 2000 students of his school.
Studying in the ninth grade at the Government High School, Ibrahimzai, Hangu, Aitzaz was not allowed to take the lectures on the 6th of January 2014 because of tardiness.
He was outside the school building along with his friends when he saw a 25-year-old man approaching the gate. The man insisted to enter the school, saying that wants to ‘take admission’.
Curious and suspicious, Aitzaz monitored the suspect closely and noticed the detonator on his vest. While two of his friends ran away, Aitzaz bravely confronted the suicide bomber and managed to take him to a vacant place, where he blew himself up.
Aitzaz succeeded to save 2000 students who were present in the building at that time, sacrificing his own life.
