Motorway Police introduces new ‘anti-sleep’ device. Here’s all you need to know
The usage of this device has been portrayed through a video released by the motorway police.
The Motorway Police Pakistan has introduced an innovative anti-sleep device to combat drowsy driving. This device is aimed at reducing incidents that are caused by drivers who get sleepy while driving.
It is only natural for drivers to feel dizzy while driving sometimes. These instances occur more during nights. In fact, each Pakistani driver has fallen asleep at least on the road. The trouble here is the increased risk of accidents that take place because drivers are not fully alert, even leading to the loss of precious lives.
The Anti-Sleep Gadget
The device consists of an alarm that sets off when it notices a forward or backward tilting of a driver’s head because of sleepiness. It is to be worn on the ears and produces a beep to wake the wearer up. This device is an effective tool to get sleepy drivers to remain conscious and reach their destinations safely.
The usage of this device has been portrayed through a video released by the motorway police. The department encourages all drivers to obtain this device for the price of Rs. 300. This is a reduced price from the original charge of Rs. 750, making it an even more affordable option.
The initiative to reduce accidents does not end on this device. The motorway police will go to greater lengths and set up stalls to enable the trade of these masks. This will be done in coordination with the local administration and traders association.
It is certainly hoped that this excellent initiative would prove effective, and in its course would save countless lives.
