MQM target killer ‘involved in 111 murders’ arrested in Karachi
The arrest has been made following the fresh wave of terrorism in the port city.
According to media sources, Karachi police has claimed to have arrested a target killer, which is affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L). As per the sources, the arrested murderer has named in over a hundred cases.
As per SSP East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, the target killer was involved in the murder of at least 111 people.
“The arrested target killer was an employee of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi. His entire network has been busted. Some 57 such cases against the group have so far surfaced,” the police sources informed.
This arrest is part of similar operations that are being conducted in the city. Police are actively working to find other members of the group.
“The target killer was also involved in the tragic events of May 12 (occurred in Karachi in 2007). He later changed his appearance and left for missionary activities in other parts of Pakistan, ” says SSP Mahesar.
Back in February, Pakistan rangers arrested three individuals that were involved in the new wave of terrorism in the port city. The increased rate of crimes and target killing has made the city headlines in newspapers once again.
