  • I don’t support Imran Khan but it is my personal opinion that he is loyal and trustworthy; Mufti Tariq Masood.
  • If one appreciates any person then this doesn’t imply that one is showing disregard to others, says Tariq Masood.
  • Should we spread hate against others on the basis of minor disagreements? A man must have the freedom of expression, adds Tariq Masood.
  • Mufti Tariq further says that moderation and self-restraint are needed in society.

Allegations of ‘Diesel’ against Fazl-ur-Rehman are false

Islamic scholar Tariq Masood notify that the accusation of ‘Diesel’ against Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam leader Fazl-ur-Rehman is utterly wrong and baseless. Maulana might have been corrupt and scandalous but the assertions of calling him diesel are not trustworthy. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has earned a lot of money with the help of diesel permits while he was having the portfolio of the petroleum minister, alleges his political opponents. “I can’t go deep into the details of this argument while sitting on the minbar”, says Mufti.

How can I support Fawad Chaudhry?

Mufti Tariq says that many people in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf are disloyal and untrustworthy. Even Fawad Hussain Chaudhry is a part of PTI and how can I be a supporter of Fawad, he exclaimed. People allege that promotes PTI but its untrue.

Neither I support any of the political party nor I have any associated personal gains, he added. I am not the prophet and do not receive any revelations. Like every other man I have my own view about other people and things and it is my personal view that Khan cannot be disloyal, he further says.

Freedom of speech

Mufti Masood views that everyone should have the right to acknowledge or to show complete disregard with the opinion of other people. I believe that the indifference are not new to this world. As long as the world continues to exist the difference of opinion will persist. Not all men can be at the same platform about anything.

He said that anyone can have a disagreement with what I used to say but this doesn’t justify the statements that I am inclined to a certain political party or person. It is moderation that is strongly needed in society.
