Pakistani wicket-keeper batter Muhammad Rizwan continued his great form as he smashed another fifty against West Indies. The right handed batsman scored 87 off just 45 balls to help Pakistan clean-sweep the three match T20 series against the Caribbeans.

Rizwan was also named the player of the match as well as the player of the series. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. They put a big total of 207 on the board but it proved insufficient as the Men in Green chased it down in the 19th over.

Muhammad Rizwan achieves another milestone:

Muhammad Rizwan has been one of the best players in the world this year and his records speak for themselves. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa born cricketer has become the first cricketer in the history of T20 cricket to score 2000 runs in a single calendar year. He achieved the feat during the 11th over of Pakistan’s chase.

Ever since moving up the batting order, the wicketkeeper batter has been in sublime form. He has been named as the player of the series four times in T20Is this year, which is the joint third most for any player overall.

Rizwan also hit 119 fours in the ongoing year and became the only player to hit 100 boundaries in a calendar year. Furthermore, he also broke Martin Guptill’s record of most sixes in T20Is in a calendar year. He broke the Kiwi player’s record of 41 sixes in a calendar year.
