Multan Sultans head coach Andy Flower has decided to fly to India for the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction, leaving the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) midway.

The former cricketer was recently appointed as the head coach of the new IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants. He will be in India for at least 10 days until the mega auction scheduled in Bangalore on February 12 and 13.

During this time, Andy Flower will be working with the defending PSL champions virtually. He will miss Sultans’ two matches against Peshawar Zalmi and one against the Lahore Qalandars. He will return to the HBL PSL before their match against Karachi Kings on February 16.

During Andy Flower’s absence, Assistant and Spin Bowling Coach Mushtaq Ahmed will be handling things for the Sultans. The PSL title holders are currently at the top of the points table with four wins out of four matches.
