NAB Summons Khattak In Land Scam Probe

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak will be appearing before NAB (National Accountability Bureau) today in helicopter case and land lease scam. (Wednesday)

As sources illuminate, Chief Secretary Azam Khan is likewise summoned, NAB KP has summoned Pervez Khattak in the scandal of renting out Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forest Department’s 275 acres protected land in Malam Jabba disregarding rules. According to sources the administration has rented out Forest Department’s territory for 33 years.

Prior, executive NAB had requested an investigation into the scandal and directed the KP NAB director general (DG) to quickly secure the related significant record and initiate and inquiry in such manner. Different illegal acts and irregularities were noticed in Malam Jabba lease agreement.
Chairman NAB took notice of leasing out of 275-acre protected land belonging to the Forest Department to Samson Group of Companies Lahore, a private company, at tourist resort Malam Jabba, Swat.
He has ordered DG NAB to immediately secure all relevant documents including the lease agreement, and launch an inquiry in this regard.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister will also appear before NAB in the helicopter case, NAB had initiated an inquiry of Imran Khan using the official helicopter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa allegedly for personal use.
