Nargis VS Chohan: See What Social Media Community Has To Say About It
Punjab’s Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has been quite the centre of controversy right after his appointment. He, in a recent incident, has found himself in a fire after passing derogatory remarks on female artists.
In a video surfacing the internet, Fayyaz was seen saying controversial words about the female artists in a gathering in Lahore, which went viral on social media. Fayyaz said:
‘’If he had the authority, he would have made Nargis offer Hajj and keep as much as 300 fasts a year.’’
To this, Nargis said that she has completely quite showbiz community and is happy at home. She further said that she has never discussed anyone and doesn’t want anyone to discuss her either.
She said from the prestigious position Fayyaz is speaking, he needs to be more considerate and respectful of the choice of his words.
“Whoever this minister is, I have listened to his statement and I would only like to tell him that you are on a responsible post. Choose your words rightly. Such words are not used for any woman sitting back at home’’ – she said.
Nargis further added that she should be treated with dignity and respect like every human being deserves. If dealt with the same disrespect and derogatory behaviour again in future, she will be taking legal action.
PTI’s Senior Leader Aleem Khan condemned the statements saying that Chohan shouldn’t have said those words. He further said that the complaint must have been lodged with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Chohan, in a statement, denied it saying that propaganda is being done against him and Imran Khan.
