In a village in Nawabshah district, a man murdered and burned his 13-year-old sister, Nimra Rind, to hide the shameful crime he had been committing for many years. After killing his sister, the man went to the Jam Dattar police station with his father, Mukhtiar Rind, on the 14th of November.
The two alleged that Nimra had been kidnapped from their house in village Mir Hassan Rind of Jam Sahib City. The police registered the complaint and started looking for the missing sister.
Upon investigation, the young girl’s charred and naked body was found in the fields of the village in Babar Rind. The police inquiry picked up pace after seeing young Nimra’s body. Police investigators said:
The killing looked like it had been planned.
The police started investigating the family members. Soon, the officials concluded that all the evidence pointed to Akhtiar Rind, the girl’s brother, as the murderer of his sister.
Speaking to a media outlet, SSP Tanveer Tunio said:
The police cracked the murder with the help of the victim’s cell phone data and call records. Akhtiar Rind was produced before a magistrate and remanded in police custody for further investigation.
The police confronted Akhtiar, and the man confessed and said:
I killed my sister to conceal that I had a ‘forced sexual’ relationship with her for a long time.
Akhtiar Rind went on to explain how he killed his sister:
The night of the incident, Nimra refused to continue the relationship and threatened that she would reveal the matter to our parents. I murdered her to conceal my crime.
