After the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan announced the lifting of the lockdown to restore some economic activity, people flooded the roads and markets without taking any precautionary measures.

To tackle this issue, the Hazara Police division has launched a ‘no mask, no shopping’ and ‘no mask, no petrol’ campaign.

Following this, if a citizen of the Hazara division goes out in the market without wearing a mask or taking precautionary measures, they won’t be able to shop or refuel their vehicles.

The initiative has been launched after seeing the public’s attitude after the government announced to ease the COVID-19 lockdown.

DIG Hazara Division Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman said the aim of this campaign is to save the masses from contracting the virus and to raise awareness about the significance of wearing face masks.

‘’I’m sure this campaign would be highly successful. In the past, we introduced the ‘no helmet, no petrol’ campaign and it did make people more careful about road safety’’, he said.

The DIG also ordered all DPOs of Hazara division to make sure that the SOPs are implemented.
