“No more interview condition for acquiring US Visas” – See details here
Recently, the US Mission to Pakistan released a statement stating that certain Pakistani applicants are now eligible for an interview waiver for a US visa. This exemption applies to the following types of applications:
- Student visas
- Exchange visitor visas in academic programs
- Temporary worker visas
- Non-blanket visas
- Intracompany transferee visas
Individuals applying for these visas do not have to undergo an excruciating interview process at the US Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulate General in Karachi. They can simply exercise their right to waive off interviews. It is also pertinent to mention that this program is available to Pakistani citizens who have previously held a US visa.
According to the statement, the consulate and embassy still reserve their right to request eligible visa holders to attend interviews at the US Embassy or Consulate-General after submitting visa processing documents.
The US embassy aims to improve customer service and promote the effective and timely processing of visas for qualified Pakistani individuals with the help of this interview waiver eligibility.
