After Zainab’s case and Kasur scandal, the debate of child pornography gangs operating in a safe and established environment in Pakistan has gained momentum. The allegations regarding culprit in Zainab’s rape and murder case being part of this expanded network working in Pakistan and having 37 bank accounts further strengthen the notion.
However, the recent FIA report shows a story otherwise. The Federal Investigation Agency has come to the conclusion that no Pakistani is involved in child pornography on the dark web.
NR3C, FIA’s National Response for Centre of Cyber Crimes, has apparently received zero complaints from any Pakistani national with respect to registered cases of child pornography.
‘’The sources said that the FIA’s cell had launched investigations, in most cases, on receipt of a tip-off from the Interpol and multiple requests from different foreign embassies’’ (Source: Express Tribune)
This is the first time in history that NR3C team has been constituted for a case pertaining cybercrime and child pornography in particular. The zonal in charges were strictly ordered to furnish updated briefs of all registered cases of child pornography.
As per FIA, the pornographic content involving Pakistani child is even less than one percent on the internet.
It was further revealed that no Pakistani is involved in Kasur incident – world’s biggest child abuse scandal. According to sources, there is no connection of the scandal with an international racket.
As per sources and reported by Express Tribune:
“Some people here may have shared or seen such videos on the internet, but no information is available with NR3C that these child porn videos were made in Pakistan. Moreover, no Pakistani child has been used for the purpose,”
However, the access to porn is very easy especially in parts of Karachi and no action has been against it.
