According to sources, the police raided the site on Friday morning to arrest the criminals, but they had fled. However, the police fear that the culprits may have escaped to Afghanistan after crossing the border.
Human rights activists Nighat Dad condemned the incident, requesting the authorities to catch the perpetrators.
“Three young girls were murdered in Waziristan in the name of honor today because a video of them had leaked among the local people, and got on social media. I cannot stop thinking of the women murdered in Kohistan for the same reason and Qandeel Baloch,” Dad tweeted.

In 2016, social media star Qandeel Baloch was killed in the name of honor by her brother after her selfies with an Islamic scholar went viral on social media. Earlier in 2012, five women in Kohistan were murdered when a video showing them clapping during a festive event emerged online.
