Now you can get your passport at your doorstep within 24 hours [Video]

Fast track service passportFast Track Service launched by the government of Pakistan will enable applicants to get their passports delivered to them within 24 hours. After submitting the application, the applicants will get their passports at their doorstep in a day.

In a tweet, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed urged the Pakistani citizens to avail the service provided by Directorate General Immigration & Passports. “Now get your passport within 24 hours,” he tweeted.

DG Immigration and Passports, Dr Naeem Rauf, revealed that as many as 1224 applications were received in the last few days of the trial period. He further added that those applicants have received their passports within 24 hours without any delay.

The Fast Track Service has been launched in seven cities initially i.e. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta.

The online passport facility – Fast track service – introduced by the government will make it super easy to get your passport without travelling and waiting in queues at passport offices. Pakistan is also all set to become the first country in Asia to introduce e-passport service.

According to Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, this service will start at the begining of the 2022. The announcement was made by him earlier this month while addressing  a ceremony in Islamabad.
