Opposition passes no-confidence motion against CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan, looks forward to toppling provincial government
However, CM Alyani says he "does not care" about the oppostion's motion.
The opposition members in Balochistan have submitted a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan Alyani.
The opposition members claim that the chief minister had violated several laws regarding the governance in the province.
According to details, 16 out of 23 members of the opposition in the Balochistan Assembly have submitted a no-confidence motion against Alyani to the assembly secretary.
The opposition members have revealed four reasons for their intention of toppling the incumbent provincial chief minister of Balochistan.
Firstly, the opposition claimed that there was “extreme disappointment” among the inhabitants of Balochistan against CM Alyani for the unrest in the province.
Secondly, the opposition claimed that CM Alyani’s “bad governance” has led to unemployment and the poor performance of governmental institutions.
Thirdly, the opposition claimed that CM Alyani had violated Article 37 (promotion of social justice and eradication of social evils) and Article 38 (promotion of social and economic well-being of the people) of the Constitution.
Violating these articles led to poverty, deprivation, and unrest in several areas of Balochistan.
Lastly, the opposition claimed that CM Alyani had embraced an “extremely non-serious attitude” towards the fundamental rights of the province’s inhabitants.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Balochistan took on Twitter and remarked that he “does not care” about the opposition’s passing of the no-confidence motion.
Alhamdulillah I dont care two bits on oppositions motion of no confidence.
For me its important if my own party and coalition are with me. The day i dont have my own party and coalition majority…Then for me being the leader of the house is of no use and will leave myself. pic.twitter.com/1Sj7QXp3qo
