Over 2 million people have been treated through Sehat Card in Punjab, receiving facilities of Rs36.55 billion
So far, more than 432,000 people have gotten free dialysis through the Sehat Sahulat Card.
According to reports, more than 2 million people have been treated through Sehat Card in Punjab. These people have received free treatment through the health card scheme.
While talking about the statistics related to the scheme, Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that the people of the province have received facilities worth Rs36.55 billion.
Sehat Card facilities
At least 808 government and private hospitals have been empaneled to give free treatment facilities throughout the province. Over 83,700 beds have been increased in the empaneled private and government hospitals for patients in Punjab through the card. Currently, there are claims of over Rs9 billion on health facility cards in hospitals.
So far, more than 432,000 people have gotten free dialysis through the Sehat Sahulat Card. Similarly, over 45,000 have gotten coronary angiography, 36,000 women have undergone normal child delivery, and 155,000 went through C-sections.
Baloch further stated that 29,000 people have undergone free hernia surgery through the Sehat Card. Around 27,000 people have gotten chemotherapy and 155,000 angioplasty.
These statistics were released on the directives of the Health Minister of Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid. She said that the health facilitation card is a fundamental project of the government.
Dr. Rashid added that the amount of the card will be increased from Rs10 lac in case of any emergency. During a meeting with officials of the insurance company, the health facility card rates have been revised as well.
