Oxford Pakistan Programme

A major new academic initiative – Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) – has been launched for Pakistani students to study at the University of Oxford.

The aim of the OPP is to address the underrepresentation of Pakistani and British-Pakistani students at the prestigious university.

This program will be contributing to the promotion of academic exchange between Pakistani students and Oxford. Furthermore, OPP will also promote various Pakistan-related activities including graduate scholarships for deserving students, visiting fellowships for Pakistani faculty members and special lectures on Pakistan.

In its initial stage, the Oxford Pakistan Programme will be offering up to three scholarships for deserving students. This was announced by the co-founder of OPP, Dr. Talha Jamal Pirzada.

Moreover, he also announced the OPP’s Visiting Fellow Programmes. One of these programmes has been developed in partnership with the Malala Fund, the Government of Sindh and non-profit Durbeen, which will provide Pakistani academics the opportunity to make use of Oxford’s research facilities.
