Pak Suzuki increases prices for the second time in 2022

In its circular to authorized dealers, the company updated the new prices of its various vehicles.

On Friday, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMCL) increased the prices of two-wheelers by PKR 8,000-15,000 and four-wheelers’ by PKR 99,000-1.615 million.

However, Jimny and APV imported models are now priced at PKR 6.049m and PKR6.290m, respectively.

In two-wheelers, the new cost of Suzuki GD110S, GS150, GS150SE, and GR150 is PKR 207,000, PKR 225,000, PKR 242,000, and PKR 330,000, respectively.

Muqeet Naeem of Iqbal Ismail Securities stated the automobile assemblers across the board had increased the prices by an average of 9.4% in March 2022 to pass on the cost pressures stemming from the continuous rupee depreciation against the dollar, increasing freight charges, and an uptick in commodity expenses.

The highest price jump of 30% to 36% was witnessed in Cultus, Wagon-R, and Picanto. Meanwhile, SUVs such as Sportage and Tucson recorded the lowest price increase at 14 % to 17%.
