Pak Suzuki Jacks Up Prices of its Cars….Again

Despite the recent gain in the value of rupees, renowned automaker—Pak Suzuki— has, yet again, jacked up the prices.

Auto-makers in the country have been increasing the prices of their cars for the last 12-months or so, following the depreciation of Pakistani rupee. But Pakistani rupee has started to gain its value against the American dollar in recent weeks.

Despite the recent gain in the value of rupees, renowned automaker—Pak Suzuki— has, yet again, jacked up the prices of its cars from 49,000 up to 90,000. The new prices will be effective from January 1st.

Following are the new prices:

Alto VXR:

New price— 1,398,000 Rs.

Increased by 90,000 Rs.

Alto VXL:

New price— 1,598,000 Rs.

Increased by 80,000 Rs.

WagonR VXR

New price— 1,605,000 Rs.

Increased by 65,000 Rs.

WagonR VXL

New price— 1,695,000 Rs.

Increased by 70,000 Rs.

Swift DLX M/T

New price— 1,995,000 Rs.

Increased by 90,000 Rs.

Swift DLX A/T

New price— 2,955,000 Rs.

Increased by 90,000 Rs.

Jimny

New price— 3,990,000 Rs.

Increased by 90,000 Rs.

Recently, Pak Suzuki raised eyebrows with its decision to discontinue its iconic Mehran model. 660 cc Alto was launched as an alternative to the 30-year-old model of Mehran. The alternative to Mehran is proving to be a success despite the company sales have declined by a massive 30.06% in the first five months of FY 2019-20.
