The Pakistan and India cricket match is always a high intensity encounter, irrespective of the event and venue it is played at. As the showpiece match of the T20 World Cup gets closer, tension among the fans has started to rise on both sides of the border.

Just as always, former cricketers from the two countries are spotted together during interviews. And, they don’t miss out on taking digs at each other. Similarly, Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan Singh have engaged in a Twitter banter ahead of the Pakistan versus India match.

It all started with when the world’s fastest bowler called the former Indian spinner ’Mr. I know it all‘. Akhtar shared a picture of the two chatting about, arguably, the cricket’s biggest rivalry during a show.

With Mr. I know it all @harbhajan_singh in Dubai for a pre discussion about the mother of all competitions,” Shoaib Akhtar wrote.

Replying to his tweet, Harbhajan Singh said: “When you have 400 plus test wickets, I am sure you know more about cricket than someone with less than 200 wickets.”

Shoaib Akhtar wasn’t going to hold back. He shared a couple of pictures of bowling at Indian batsmen, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. One of the pictures had Ganguly down with pain on the ground after being hit by a Shoaib Akhtar ‘bullet.’

Both Pakistan and India have started their world cup preparations with warm-up matches against West Indies and England respectively. The two teams comfortably beat their oppositions. They will meet on October 24th in Dubai.
