Pakistan and Germany unite to provide benefits to the local business community

Germany commits €109 million in various sectors of governance, energy.

Mr. Bernhard Stephan Schlagheck, the ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, called Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Hammad Azhar and discuss the business prospects for the local community.

Both agreed to collaborate on multiple fronts to benefit the local business community, including technological fronts. Pakistan and Germany eye on joint ventures and trade delegations in the future.

As per the press statement, the German ambassador stressed that both German embassy and the Economic Affairs Division for sustainable economic development in Pakistan should be in close contact and should collaborate through vocational and technical training, market access and increase in trade.

Germany commits €109 million in multiple sectors:

Minister Hammad Azhar thanked the German government on assisting through grants and their commitment towards the betterment of people. He also congratulated  Mr. Bernhard Schlagheck for his significant role in concluding government to government negotiations between both countries. The German government also committed €109 million in various sectors of governance, energy and sustainable economic development.

The minister further briefed the German ambassador on planned and ongoing development in Pakistan. The roadmap included institutional reforms, poverty alleviation, transparency, green energy, and human resource development.

On the subject of increasing the cost-effectiveness of development assistance initiatives, both sides were on the same page. Hammad told that Pakistan is eager to further make a cooperation with Germany stronger. He added that Pakistan is particularly looking forward to engaging and cooperate in projects that will significantly elevate the quality of life for people in Pakistan.
