India’s ruling party in the yesterday’s move has finally made it to its electoral manifesto by repealing the autonomous status of Occupied State of Kashmir but the worst part is that all have been done without taking the state legislature on board and the mere presidential decree was used to disrupt the cultural, religious and demographic identity of Kashmiri residents.

Witnessing the intensity of the issue a meeting of the core commanders was arranged in Rawalpindi, as of today, to discuss the Indian decision to revoke the special status of the occupied territory. The matter is of utmost concern for Pakistan as the country is a state party to the Kashmir dispute internationally.

India’s yesterday move also violates international law as Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits the occupying power to transfer parts of its own population into the territories it occupies.

India, days ago made another violation of international law treaty by carrying out the cluster munition attack on the part of Kashmir currently administered by Pakistan as an autonomous region of the state.

“Core Commanders Conference on Kashmir’s situation at GHQ. Forum fully supported the Government’s rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir. Pakistan never recognized the sham Indian efforts to legalize its occupation of Jammu & Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago efforts which have now been revoked by India itself,” shared DG ISPR in his recent statement on Twitter.

DG ISPR quoted Army Chief as saying that Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end. We (Pakistan Army) are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfill our obligation in this regard.

Do you think that the Supreme Court of India will intervene to save the Jammu and Kashmir’s special status? What do you foresee the role of Pakistan to get the right of self-determination of Kashmiris fulfilled beyond verbal statements?
