Pakistan dispatches medical, food assistance to Afghanistan
The Pakistani government would continue to do its best to help Afghan brothers during the prevalent challenging environment
In this regard, three C-130s were being dispatched to Afghanistan. In a press release, a Foreign Office spokesperson said, “After the first immediate tranche through the air, further supplies would continue through land routes.”
The spokesperson added, “The Pakistani government would continue to do its best to help Afghan brothers during the prevalent challenging environment.”
He further went on to say that Pakistan also urged the international community to play its role in supporting the people of Afghanistan to prevent a possible humanitarian crisis.
Pakistan hopes the Afghan government will work for peace:
The Foreign Office has said Pakistan would continue to follow the evolving situation in the war-stricken country closely. The Taliban had announced their “acting” government on Tuesday, comprising 33 cabinet members.
The Foreign Office apprehended that the new political administration would assure coordinated efforts for peace, security, and stability in Afghanistan and will work towards taking care of the humanitarian and development needs of the Afghan people.
“Pakistan reaffirms its tenacious commitment to a peaceful, stable, sovereign, and progressive Afghanistan,” the Foreign Office added.
