Pakistan earned $652.720 million from IT services’ exports during the first six months of the ongoing fiscal year
During the period under review, the export of computer services grew by 25.35%
Pakistan has earned $652.720 million by providing different IT services in various countries during the first six months of the current fiscal year.
Compared to the same period last year, a growth of 21.79% has been observed as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
During the period under review, the export of computer services grew by 25.35%, increasing from $391.770 million last year to $491.090 million this year.
The export and import services of computer software-related services also increased from $149.540 million to $163.482 million. On the other hand exports of maintenance and repair of computer, services decreased by 62.06%.
Meanwhile, the export of information services during the period under review increased by 57.97%, going up from $0.690 million to $1.090 million. Exports of news agency services went up by 106.90%, whereas exports of other information services also increased by 15.90%.
The export of telecommunication services increased from $143.480 million to $160.540 million
during the same period of time.
Among telecommunication services, the export of call centre services also increased by 19.63% as the exports increased from $49.665 million to $59.413 million. According to the data revealed by PBS, the exports of other services also increased by 7.79%, increasing from $93.815 million to $101.127 million.
