Pakistan and Egypt join hands to increase capacity in the field of IT and telecommunications
Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to increase cooperation in the field of information technology and telecommunication.
The Ambassador of Egypt in Pakistan, Dr. Tarek Dahroug, called on the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, on Tuesday.
The Federal Minister for IT welcomed the ambassador in his office and invited the Federal Secretary IT Minister, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, and Member IT Syed Junaid Imam to join the meeting.
The Federal Secretary IT Ministry Syed Amin Ul Haque began the meeting by briefing the Ambassador of Egypt about the Ministry of IT’s functions and projects. During the meeting, the attendees discussed matters of mutual interests related to information technology.
The Federal Minister for IT said:
Pakistan greatly values its relations with Egypt. The Ministry of IT is taking every possible step to promote information technology and digitalization in the country. Our priorities include the establishment of IT Parks and the provision of broadband services across the country.
The Ambassador of Egypt lauded the performance of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications and said:
Egypt wants collaboration between the two countries in the field of information technology and telecommunication.
