Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has helped Indian students stuck in Lviv.

While talking to journalists, the Minister said that he has spoken with foreign ministers of Poland, Hungary, and Romania about the safe exit of Pakistani students. He added that they have assured him of a safe exit in this regard.

Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he has spoken and sought an update from the Romanian foreign minister over the conflict. Romania shares a 400-miles border with Ukraine and their talk was based on helping students escape the war zone. According to him, most Pakistani students have left the country.

FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s statement

“You must have seen videos of our embassy helping Indian students fleeing Ukraine where they were given food,” Foreign Minister said. He went on to say that the kids are in distress due to the war and Pakistan has helped them on a humanitarian basis.

A video went viral on social media, in which an Indian student is saying that Pakistani officials took care of them in Lviv. The students claim that when they reached Kharkiv, ther was no Indian official present to take care of them. The students were enjoying there meals and had a comfortable environment set up for them at the embassy.
