Cricket comes in the top 3 most-watched and celebrated sports in the world. When it comes to Pakistan, cricket undoubtedly tops the list. However, the Pakistan cricket team is one of the most underpaid cricket teams worldwide. The money involved in Pakistan cricket’s infrastructure is nowhere near the level of top cricketing nations such as Australia, England, South Africa, and India. Regardless of the drawbacks, the team has still done remarkably well to compete with other big players over the years.

On the other hand, the Indian team players are some of the highest-paid cricketers in the world. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah have a retainer worth approximately seven times more than the highest-paid cricketers in Pakistan. The match fee alone for each of the three formats is much higher for Indian cricketers than their Pakistani counterparts.

Here is a comparison of the Central Contracts of Pakistani and Indian cricketers: (Annual)
