Pakistan International Airlines Decides To Add Five More Aircrafts To It’s Fleet

As part of implementation of it’s business plan, the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines, has decided to add five more aircrafts to it’s fleet. The addition of five more aircrafts will take the total number of aircrafts of the national flag carrier to 37.

As per the available details, the five more aircrafts will added in two phases. The first phase will commence with the addition of two A320 aircrafts later this month and at the start of next month. While, the the rest of the three A323 narrow-body aircrafts will be added following a tender which is slated for November.

As per a source privy to the matter, the new aircrafts will consume less fuel as well as enabling PIA to operate on more routes. It will also increase international and domestic flights. Furthermore, the source reveals that PIA is planning to operate a flight between Lahore and the federal capital every three hours.

As per the business of Pakistan International Airlines, it plans to take the total number of aircrafts to 45 in the next four years. The PIA has already started on starting new international flights. Earlier last month PIA started direct flights from Sialkot to London.
