Pakistan Navy introduces indigenously-manufactured Fast Attack Craft (Missile) 4

Pakistan Navy has launched its indigenous Fast Attack Craft Missile-4 (FAC M-4) designed by Maritime Technologies Complex (MTC) held at the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW).
In recent years, Pakistan has boasted of developing tactical nuclear weapons and equipment to protect itself from potential offensive actions.
Design & Characteristics
FAC (M) is a state of the art, multi-mission vessel. It has a length of 63m and a displacement of over 560 tons. FAC (M) launched the vessel with four shafts and a speed of 3 knots. Furthermore, It is equipped with anti-ship missiles and sensors.
According to the press release, Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalal, and top officials of Pakistan Navy, KS&EW and federal and provincial governments attended the launching ceremony at the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) on Wednesday.
Furthermore, speaking at the occasion, the chief guest, Minister Zubaida Jalal congratulated Pakistan Navy on such remarkable achievement. She said this is a progressive step towards the national goal of self-reliance and self-sustenance.
She further said, “KS&EW is one of the few public sector industries which have made a remarkable turnaround in the last decade and transformed into a sustainable profit-generating entity of MoDP”.
Moreover, Managing director KS&EW, Rear Admiral Ather Saleem thanked MoDP and Pakistan for their support.
He further added that during recent years, KS&EW has completed many projects of international standards. As a result, the Pakistan Navy has reposed its confidence in the Karachi Shipyard by awarding construction contracts for MILGEM Class ships, HANGOR class submarines, and Bollard Tugs.
