Pakistan Post Debit Card Facility For Pensioners To Be Launched Next Month

Following the launch of the facility, pensioners will be able to withdraw their money from any ATM without having to stand in long queues.

To facilitate pensioners, Pakistan Post has announced to introduce a debit card facility before the end of next month.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the debit card facility will be launched by December 25th. Following the launch of the facility, pensioners will be able to withdraw their money from any ATM without having to stand in long queues.

Talking to APP, an official of Pakistan Post stated that the initiative was taken following several complaints from the old pensioners. He added that this will not just increase the revenue of the state enterprise, but it will also help in identifying and catching ghost pensioners.

“It was a long-standing issue as pensioners in their old age had to stand in long queues to collect their pensions from the post offices”, the official told APP.

Former employees of Pakistan Post expressed their happiness at the recent initiative. Under the current government, Pakistan Post has recorded a significant increase in its revenue. Recently, Pakistan Post announced thousands of internships for fresh graduates across the country as well.
