Pakistan Post revenues increased by Rs. 6 billion in only one year

Murad Saeed, the Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services, said that under the governance of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Post revenue increased by Rs. 6 billion, which is an increase from Rs. 8 billion to Rs. 14 billion in the span of a year.

46,000 parcels had been transported to their destination through E-Commerce. The minister further stated that Pakistan Post will bring ‘revolutionary changes’ in Logistic Cell sector. The also added that the Pakistan Railways have made a request for the addition of one more carriage as the business has been flourishing.

Saeed said that Pakistan Post was going to launch a project called ‘’Made in Pakistan Products’’ globally. He said that the public money was being spent on public departments that were facing downfall, rather than on education and health sectors.

EMO (Electronic Money Order), e-commerce initiatives same-day delivery services were nicely received by the public. For further easement, EMO service, also called post-to-doorstep, was being offered at all the General Post Offices as a window service. Consumers could transfer up to Rs. 50,000 through the service.

Pakistan Post has also launched a mobile application, this allows customers to track and trace their parcels on mobile phones. Customer complaints can also be registered to improve efficiency and working.

As Pakistan Post has improved the quality of their services, more people prefer using it over private alternatives.
