Pakistan, Saudi Arabia conduct joint military exercise to ‘increase the level of fitness’

The “Samsam 7” military exercise between the Pakistan Army Special Forces and Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) was conducted On Thursday in  Hafr Al-Bati. The exercise was held in the presence of Maj. Gen. Saleh Al-Zahrani, Commander of the Northern Region, and several top-ranking officers from both countries.

The Commander of the training, Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Qarni said, “The exercise comes as a part of the arrangements to advance and increase the level of fitness of military forces.”

The representative of the department of training at the RSLF, Brig-Gen Munawer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, emphasized that the purpose of the exercise is to strengthen military cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Speaking to a source, a Pakistani military officer said that Pakistan’s participation comes as an expression of friendly relations between the two nations. He conveyed his gratitude to the Saudis for providing the equipment essential for the success of the exercise.
