Islamic History

Islamophobia is a term that denotes fear, hatred, and damage against Islam and Muslims and has no link with Islamic history. Like other phobias, islamophobia is also an unreasonable phobia that goes beyond any illogical phobia.
Both Islamophobia and anti-Muslim racism are repeatedly mixed involving the extremist and fanatic of the religious category; irrespective of their physical appearance, origin, and language.

No one from the Muslim community most specifically any Muslim leader never cares to talk on Islamophobia on international forums.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan is the first Muslim leader who is highlighting the issue in the United Nations to confront multiple Muslim issues including the fear of Islamophobia.
PM Khan is further planning to launch a TV channel collaborating with Turkey and Malaysia, which will help the world to understand the actual Islam.

Joint Venture by three countries

On Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan, Turkey, and Malaysia have decided to launch an English language channel to address multiple misconceptions associated with Muslims.
He took the Microblogging website and shared that under the joint venture of three countries a channel will be launched. On the channel, different films and series will be produced so that all the misconceptions related to Muslims will be cleared.

“President Erdogan, PM Mahatir and I had a meeting today in which we decided our 3 countries would jointly start an English language channel dedicated to confronting the challenges posed by Islamophobia and setting the record straight on our great religion – Islam,” he said in the tweet.
In a later tweet, he elaborated:

“Misperceptions which bring people together against Muslims would be corrected; the issue of blasphemy would be properly contextualized; series & films would be produced on Muslim history to educate/inform our people & the world; Muslims would be given a dedicated media presence.”

According to PM Khan to counter hate speech and islamophobia effective steps needs to be taken to address the causes and consequences of both phenomena.
