Do you know these popular dramas were offered to THESE actors first but they refused?

Here we have compiled a list of Pakistani actors who have turned down drama roles that ended up being really popular.

How would you feel about the drama serial “Humsafar” without Fawad Khan? Or “Mere Pass Tum Ho” without Humayun Saeed? Well, it could have happened.

A huge buzz usually follows the official announcement regarding a drama serial’s cast. What’s not often talked about is the actors who turn roles down — often roles that end up being career-makers.

Here we have compiled a list of Pakistani actors who have turned down drama roles that ended up being really popular.

Faysal Qureshi (Hamsafar)

Faysal Qureshi was the first choice for playing Asher’s role in Hamsafar. However, he turned down the role for two major reasons. One, he did not find the script appealing enough. Second, he shared that he finds it really difficult to romance on screen. The drama serial Hamsafar turned out to be one of the most iconic dramas in Pakistani drama history.

Sonya Hussyn (Mere Pass Tum Ho)

Sonya Hussyn was the first choice for playing the role of Mehwish in Mere Pass Tum Ho, later played by Ayeza Khan. Sonya Hussyn refused to play the role because the character portrayed females in such a negative light. Although Mere Pass Tum Ho turned out to be such a massive hit, Sonya still does not regret her decision.

Fawad Khan (Bin Roye)

Ever since Humsafar, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s on-screen Jodi has always been highly appreciated, and that is why Fawad Khan was the first choice for playing the role of Irtiza in Bin Roye. However, Fawad turned the offer down because of his commitments with other projects in India.

Feroze Khan (Mere Pass Tum Ho)

Feroze Khan was offered the lead role of Danish in Mere Pass Tum Ho, which he refused because he wanted a certain amount for the role, but that hurt the writer’s sensitivities. Feroze said that Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar takes pride in the fact that people beg him to work in his dramas, so perhaps his pride was hurt when Feroze wanted a certain amount for playing the role.

Hira Mani (Dil Ruba)

Hira Mani received the scripts for both Dilruba and Kashf, side by side, and she couldn’t understand the script of Dilruba. However, the script for Kashf was very disturbing for her. So she decided to work on the latter one; the currently on-air drama is a huge hit.
