Some Pakistani NGOs working against the state, receiving foreign funds to promote the “enemy agenda”
Many of these NGOs have their vested interests in the West.
Sources have revealed that local NGOs have been receiving foreign funds to promote the “enemy agenda” and are working against the state.
In 2019, the Aurat March Organizer and PTM activist Gulalai Ismail’s two NGOs, ‘Aware Girls’ and ‘Seeds for Peace,’ were charged with getting foreign funding.
It was revealed that the PTM activist received huge funds in millions in the name of NGOs from foreign countries and then used the funds for aiding a terrorist organization.
Last year, a complaint was submitted to the interior ministry seeking action against a non-governmental organization (NGO), Digital Rights Foundation (DRF), and its Executive Director, Nighat Dad, over alleged misuse of foreign funds.
Dad is a founding member of the Women Action Forum. The audit report of the DRF revealed that Dad received foreign funding of around eight crores in 2017-18. However, after allegations, the report was deleted from her website.
In December 2020, Indian Chronicles published a report and revealed that India was funding the Saath Forum to fight pro-India & Anti-Pakistan, Anti-China hybrid warfare.
The Aurat March Activists, Gul Bukhari, and Saba Ismail are members of the Saath Forum.

Many of these NGOs have their vested interests in the west. The President of Women Democratic Front (WDF) and the Aurat March founder, Ismat Raza Shahjahan, is also a PTM activist. A fact noteworthy is that she attended one of the meetings of the European Parliament.
Shahjahan has also been very active in perpetuating hatred against the state and forces.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PTM, the WDF, and the Aurat March have many things in common, including:
- They all emerged in 2018. The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement rose to prominence in January of 2018 when it organized a protest march from Dera Ismail Khan. The first Aurat March was held on the 8th of March 2018 in Karachi. Similarly, the Women Democratic Front -an independent socialist-feminist organization- was founded in Islamabad on the 8th of March 2018 by hundreds of delegates from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and KPK.
- All three of them were given a lot of coverage by Indian and Western Media.
- Crowd pulling
- There has been no established source of income for the PTM, the WDF, and the Aurat March.
