Pakistan announces on-arrival visa facility for 50 countries in a historic step to boost tourism
The visa-on arrival facility was previously available to citizens of 25 countries only.
The issuance of on-arrival visas to 50 countries is on the list of significant steps being taken to boost tourism in the country.

Pakistan has taken another significant step to boost tourism in the country. The government has decided to issue on-arrival visas to 50 countries. The facility was previously available for 25 countries only.
Vice Chairperson Overseas Pakistanis Commission Ch. Waseem Akhtar, while talking to media persons in his office appreciated the efforts of PM Khan in promoting tourism.
Public Friendly Economic-Policies:
He further said the country is progressing due to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s public-friendly economic policies while the exemplary steps being taken to boost tourism are worth mentioning.
Promotion of tourism is the need of the moment. This step will not only portray the positive image of Pakistan worldwide but will also bring foreign investment and exchange in the country.
Tourism can not only help Pakistan overcome economic crises but also has the potential to generate revenue and create job opportunities for the citizens.
The Adviser to the Prime Minister, Razak Dawood, first disclosed the plan on December 19, 2018. The minister said that the government was mulling to initiate the visa-on-arrival facility for almost 55 countries in order to strengthen the tourism sector of Pakistan.
