Pakistan’s Dawlance begins exports to EU and African Countries

Dawlance, Pakistan’s electronics home appliances brand, has initiated the exports of its products to European and African countries. It is the first-ever company to do so.

With a $60 million investment, the company has elevated its assembly plants, over the past three years. This has been done so they can meet the standards of foreign markets.

While talking to ProPakistani after the inauguration of another assembly line, located at National Highway Karachi, Umar Ahsan Khan, the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Dawlance said that two additional assembly lines are for water dispensers and washing machines. The primary aim of this is to export the appliances to different international markets and also, fulfill the demands of the local market.

Certification obtained to produce products at par with EU standards:

A unique certification for the production of water dispensers has been obtained by the company, this is so that they can meet the standards of EU. The products are exported to the European Union through Turkey. And so far, 5,000 water dispensers have been exported to Turkey and a total of 5,000 units will be sold in an international year by the end of the current year 2019.

However, other products like washing machines, etc. are being exported to Middle Eastern Countries and Africa.

Mr. Umar further stated that Dawlance washing machine is highly demanded in Africa, the reason being is their low cost and energy-efficiency.

Inspired by the great business opportunities emerging in Pakistan we will continue to invest in Pakistan and explore new markets abroad” – Umar Ahsan Khan stated

For meeting the requirements of the specific population living off-grid, Dawlance is the first company to start production of appliances, which run on low voltages. These appliances will include refrigerators, air-conditioners and washing machines.

These will help in conservation of energy and function full-on low cost.
