German Ambassador to Pakistan and country’s favorite personality Martin Kobler announced his retirement, leaving many hearts broken. His efforts to propagate Pakistan’s positive image and trying to get along people made him one of the most celebrated and loved people in the country.
From educating Pakistanis the importance of wearing helmets to supporting the traditional and cultural values of Pakistan, Kobler’s attempts to get along people here, his interaction with common people and making them feel accommodated always made him Pakistan’s sweetheart real soon. And needless to day, the news of his retirement broke their hearts as well.
Kobler became popular in Pakistan after his repeated social media appearances and attempts to explore Pakistani tourism. In an unexpected announcement, with an image of him preparing halwa in a shop near Lodhran, he said he is feeling sad already that he is going to retire soon.
”Feel already sad going on retirement soon. What do you guys think? Shouldn’t i prepare a back up plan after retirement and help with halwa production? Pic from ‘Munawar Sohan halwa shop’ near Lodhran, recently” – he wrote on Twitter.
