Pakistan’s First Sikh PRO stars in a Ramadan TVC to spread the message of peace and unity [WATCH]
Pawan Singh Arora made the Sikh community proud by becoming the first Sikh to be appointed as Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar’s public relations officer.
Sikhs form a small community in Pakistan, most of whom live in Punjab and parts of Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. A member of the Sikh community, Pawan Singh Arora, has recently been doing the rounds on social media for appearing in a TVC created to spread the message of peace and unity among the diverse communities residing in Pakistan.

Who is Pawan Singh Arora?
Pawan Singh Arora was born on the 12th of April 1989 in Nankana Sahib. His family is the only Sikh family in Pakistan who didn’t migrate at the time of partition. He was raised with a desire to achieve something new in his life, his awe-inspiring journey started when he left home and went to Lahore for higher studies with all enthusiasm.
Pawan Singh Arora’s enormous zeal and desire to achieve the impossible made him kickstart his journey as a Radio Jockey (Daily Nai Baat, Apna FM Network, and Mast FM 103) at the age of 17. He was inclined towards media and entertainment industry from a young age, which helped him graduate with a specialization in media & Mphill in gender studies.
Following the educational advancements, he started his carrier as a content writer and worked for one of the ace advertising agencies in Pakistan “Message Communications”. Motivated by his success in media he forayed into acting at Ajoka Theater and won critical applause, commercial success and numerous awards for his versatility.
Soon after, Pawan Singh Arora became a District Information Officer Nankana Sahib at the Directorate General Public Relations Punjab.
Now the humble and versatile Pawan Singh Arora is widely known for donning countless hats – from holding the prominent position of PRO to Governor to the first Sikh Gazetted officer in Pakistan to one of the renowned Sikh YouTuber to the first Sikh Thespian, Coliseum originator, Rhetorician and the Radio jockey.

Rising to unstoppable fame despite hailing from a humble background, Pawan is an epitomee of the quintessential Pakistan’s dream that many youngsters hold close to their hearts. He has constantly left a mark in all the spheres.
When Pawan Singh Arora was appointed as the District information officer Nankana Sahib at the Directorate General Public Relations, Punjab, he showcased immense efforts and excellent contributions as an information officer. While working in the Governor house, he was assigned as the DTO of coordinator for the minority spheres. He is the first and the only Sikh in Pakistan who holds the prestigious position of Gazetted officer. He is also the voice of minorities in Pakistan at an official level.
Following his efforts as an Information Officer, the Punjab Government appointed Pawan Singh Arora as a Public Relations Officer to the Governor of Punjab in 2019.
Pawan Singh Arora made the Sikh community proud all over the world for bringing laurels to the nation by becoming the first Sikh to hold the prominent position of Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar’s PRO (public relations officer).

While talking to a media outlet, Pawan Singh Arora said:
I assumed charge [at the Directorate General of Public Relations, Punjab] three years ago after passing an exam. There is a quota reserved for minorities, but I was selected on open merit. Now I will apply all my expertise in the PR field to highlight the achievements of the governor’s office.
As soon as the TVC was released online, Pawan Singh Arora took to Facebook to share a heartfelt note about his experience shooting the advertisement.
