The government of Palestine gifted two Mobile Health Units to the Ministry of Health Services in Islamabad.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza received the gift at the ceremony held at the Embassy of Palestine.
The mobile clinic has all the necessary tools to cater to the needs of patients who do not have access to hospitals.
Speaking on occasion, Dr. Zafar appreciated the gesture in the context of the crying need for health services in the remote areas.
Dr. Zafar briefly stated, “Our health infrastructure does not reach many places. As such, I am deeply touched by the thought behind this gift from the Palestinian Ambassador. Let me assure you that we will make the best use of it”. The Mobile Health Units have two beds each.
He added: “It is a beautiful gift from beautiful people of Pakistan. I am very touched by the strong emotions of Ambassador of Palestine Ahmed Rabei, who has for the people of Pakistan and the country.”
Dr. Zafar appreciated the Palestinian government’s support and love for Pakistan in hard times, including Kashmir issue, and assured that Pakistan would continue to raise voice in favor of the Palestinian. “We will be working closely in many areas of interest to our mutual benefit,” he concluded.
