PCB expected to call these players for white-ball series against Australia

Pakistan vs Australia

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the white-ball series squad against Australia this week. The two teams are scheduled to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a T20I at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium. However, the white-ball series might be shifted to Lahore.

The PCB will be looking to pick a strong squad against the Aussies for the ODI series. However, due to the injury problems and Mohammad Hasnain being banned from bowling, the chief selectors don’t have many options.

According to a report, Shadab Khan is still recovering from the groin problems he faced in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Pakistan vice-captain is still undergoing rehab. Despite being part of the Northern team in the ongoing Pakistan Cup, he is yet to play a game.

All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, who also suffered an injury during PSL, is still recovering. Mohammad Hasnain due to his suspected bowling action will not be picked.

As per media reports, leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood might replace Shadab Khan if he doesn’t regain full fitness. On the other hand, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf are also likely to feature in the white-ball series.

Sharjeel Khan name is also among those who are expected to be picked for the three match series against the Aussies.  The left handed batter hit a double hundred against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Pakistan Cup with the help of 19 fours and 13 sixes.

Furthermore, the star performers of the PSL 7, Shan Masood and Mohammad Haris are also expected to be included in the squad for the limited over series.
