Peshawar Police signs an MoU to provide internships to Peshawar University students

Capital City Police (CCP) of Peshawar and Peshawar University have come to a mutual agreement and signed an MoU, under which the former will provide internships to the university students.

Peshawar Police will provide internships to students of the university, so they can gain professional experience. This will equip them with the needed experience to enter their careers. According to details, CCPO Peshawar, Abbas Ahsan, and VC of Peshawar University, Dr. Mohammad Idrees signed an MoU in an official ceremony.

The MoU

Under this, Peshawar Police will hire students of Peshawar University as interns in different police stations. In the first batch, 30 students will be taken in, and the program will progress.

Peshawar Police will also train students so they can work in the policing system. The students will help to project a more compassionate and softer image of the police, to help cover the gap that is present between the public and the police.

CCPO Peshawar, Abbas Ahsan talked about the initiative after signing it. He said that the police are excited to partner with the university, adding that this will be a valuable experience for both parties.

The MoU was signed on 23rd February 2022, and the Government relieved Ahsan from his duties as CCPO on 25th February 2022. He has served in his position for more than fourteen months!
