About Peshawar’s BRT

TransPeshawar or Peshawar BRT is a bus rapid transit system in Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Its track stretches over 27 kilometres and has 32 stations. Ever since its launch in August 2020, the project is regarded as the city’s first bus rapid transit corridor with 31 stations and facilities including bicycle lanes, as well as safety features for women and children. The system has helped improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion, and benefit an estimated 500,000 people.
